Hi Y’all!
I’m RVDoc and I want to be YOUR mobile RV Technician. There are a bunch of reasons I think I’m a great choice and I’ll get into those below, but the main reason that I’m in this gig for YOU. I retired from my first career and I decided I wanted to bring together my love for meeting members of the RV Tribe (“my” people!) with my technical skillset, and do something that there was a real need for… I think I found my forever job!
Who is this RVDoc guy and Why Should I Trust Him?
My name is Brady Robinette and I'm a proud veteran of the US Air Force, where I served in US Space Command as Electronics and Communications technician, playing with rockets and satellites. After leaving the military, I worked in the manufacturing sector, first as a maintenance tech, then a maintenance supervisor. In 2001, I joined an AMAZ-ing internet retail company that I'm pretty sure has put packages on your doorstep this week. You know the one! I spent 23 years there, first as an electronics systems engineer, then a maintenance supervisor, manager, and ultimately had responsibility for all maintenance in the United States. Along the way, I completed my Masters and Doctorate degrees in management. I retired in 2024 and was looking for a way to get back to my real loves of solving problems and helping people, but in a more individual way.
Working on RVs was a natural fit, as I've been a full-time RV'er since 2020. I was shocked to learn that the RV industry was so upside down and backwards compared to other industries. The engineering and build standards are very lax and--specifically--the way that maintenance, servicing and repair are handled is borderline criminal. I'd challenge you to name another (successful) industry where the dealers and manufacturers expect you wait a month or more to bring your item in for diagnosis and parts ordering, and then LEAVE IT WITH THEM for literal months, while the unit moves through their backlog. The dealerships will cite various reasons for this ("supply chain" is a big one), but it really comes down to the fact that, as a group, dealers are really good as SELLING you RVs, but they truly suck at helping you keep them running. If you talk to the folks in the maintenance departments (I have), they'll say, "Thats just the way the RV business works." There has to be a better way...
Enter the Mobile RV Repair and Maintenance industry. Imagine it--A service that comes to YOU, that can work on your problem in your driveway or campsite, can address MOST issues that you might have, with labor costs that are at-or-near those charged by the dealers (mine are less!). I felt that was a much more customer-focused model of RV maintenance and that's why I started RVDoc NWFL. I've been blessed with opportunities to learn a lot about electricity, electronics, mechanics, and physics and also with a love for solving problems and puzzles. I love meeting members of the RV tribe, hearing about their past travels, where they're going next, and I love helping them get there. I get to do all that AND save my customers money. (My standard work “week” is Thursday through Sunday, so I do NOT charge uprate for weekend work)

Anyway, that's a long-winded way of saying, "I'm here to help and I'd love to be YOUR RV tech!". Even if you’re not in the Florida panhandle, I probably know a great mobile RV tech near you… drop me an email, I’ll be happy to help you!
Below are links to some of the RV-related credentials that I hold.
